Lord Vishnu has many names and forms of which one is Satyanarayan. The devotees of Lord Vishnu would perform a pooja and listen to His qualities in the form of Satyanarayan. In this ritual a Bhramin priest would be called to conduct the Pooja. In the end Aati and Prashad is shared out as Blessings. Through this pooja one would attain peace, prosperity, happiness and Lord Vishnus abode - Vainkuth (Heven). This Vrata can be done anyday and anytime of the year.
